We’re a soft soft drink brand called CANS made by CANS Global s.r.o. and dispatched around the UK by DRINK CANS UK LTD (we know, highly inventive business names).

We started CANS because we realised that soft drinks aren’t actually soft. 

They’re laced with sugar and a load of artificial sweeteners. 

So we made a non-sweet soft drink that was actually soft on the mind and body.

Our founders’ mission is to stop sugar overconsumption, so our main goal is to create 

a non-sweet section in stores to help people choose their soft drinks more wisely.

Austria… Obviously. 

For those that might not know how great Austria is, not only is it perfectly placed for shipping around Europe, it’s also one of the best sources of Alpine spring water, but it’s also renowned for its dedication to food safety, quality and sustainability. 

Given we wanted to create a sparkling drink with clean ingredients and sustainable packaging, we had a clear winner.

Good and highly specific question. 

Well, our range of sparkling soft drinks have no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. 

We do use a splash of real fruit juice for flavour, so they contain a small amount of natural fruit sugar.

CANS Sugar Content per 330ml:

• Lemon: ~ 0.8g natural sugar
• Cherry: ~ 1.0g natural sugar
• Apple: ~ 1.2g natural sugar

In our opinion, you don’t need more sugar than that. You’re sweet enough.

Well, firstly because otherwise we’d have to change our name to BOTTLES. 

Secondly because we wanted to create a soft drink that was soft on the mind, body and PLANET. 

After a lot of research, we found aluminium is infinitely better than plastic or glass, especially when it comes to recyclability (yes it’s a word): 

OVER 75% OF ALL ALUMINIUM EVER PRODUCED IS STILL IN USE TODAY.

Not only that but:

• They don’t degrade as quickly 
• Use 4x less energy than producing a glass bottle
• Have a lower carbon footprint
• Protects flavours and nutrients against light and oxygen
• Are BPA-Free

Crucially too, CANS chill faster. In short, everyone’s a winner.

However, in our quest for non-sweet world domination, we will be launching more.

Currently in supermarkets and shops, all soft drinks are lumped together in one section.

But not all soft drinks are soft on your body and mind. In fact, nearly none of them are.

So our mission is to create a 'non-sweet’ category in store so people can choose drinks safe in the knowledge that they contain no added sugar or artificial sweeteners.

When they’re ice cold.

Because of the drink we wanted to make, finding the best quality, but also the most responsibly sourced ingredients that are soft on the body, mind and planet is a must.

Let’s talk you through our rationale. 

Plastic Bottles or (PET) release microplastics into beverages, especially those with long storage times or heat exposure. A lot of other cans use BPA - which also leak into the drink. Not great. 

We use the most BPA-Free friendly coating we could find. 

They don’t degrade in the same way as plastics, and the reason we have it is to ensure the aluminium doesn’t degrade, so it can be reincanated. 

Nobody can tell you that there’s zero chance of releasing microplastics, 

but it’s the lowest we can make it with the technology available.
